How are MT Select Contractors compensated?

Contractors up to 70% of gross line-haul revenues (depending upon years leased on to MT Select) and 100% of the fuel surcharge.

When do I get paid and how?

MT Select Contractors are paid through weekly settlements each Friday. Paperwork must be sent by Transflo no later than midnight Monday to get paid that Friday.

Do you offer health benefits?

MT Select does not offer health benefits to contractors but can facilitate introduction for obtaining health benefits with third parties for medical, dental and other insurance products to help protect you and your family.

Can I get a trailer through MT Select?

MT Select makes its trailers available to our contractors at no cost.

How long is New Contractor Safety Training?

New Contractor Safety Training is 3 days, starting on a Monday.

What are MT Select’s qualifying requirements?

MT Select requires all our contractors be at least 22 years old. They must have 1-year flatbed experience and 6-months of independent contractor experience.

Are you forced to dispatch?

No

How does dispatch work?

All contractors have a Contractor Relations contact, who will assist in finding freight and getting reloaded to reduce empty miles and layover.

Where do you run?

All 48 are available, but typically within 600 miles of Birmingham

Does MT Select require a maintenance account?

Yes. MT Select requires an escrow account for contractor’s normal maintenance, business expenses and other unexpected emergencies that will be deducted from your weekly settlement.

Does MT Select have national discounts?

MT Select Contractors will have access to discounts with preferred maintenance, equipment and fuel vendors.
